“World of fashion where everyone matters”
The closing ceremony of VI International Eastern Europe and Central Asia AIDS Conference will feature the Gala Fashion Show that will bring together all the winners of designer contests organized in partnership with the national fashion weeks in Armenia, Belarus, Moldova, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. Russian designers will present their “Red collection” created for the “Designers of Russia against AIDS” project supported by the Ministry of Health and Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.
More than 100 designers took part in the regional competition. They created their images using national elements and the Red Ribbon – international symbol of AIDS response and solidarity with the people affected by the epidemic. Three winners from each country will present their works at the show on April 20.
Main slogans of the contest promote regular HIV testing – “Being healthy is the latest trend”, “Knowing your HIV status is fashionable!” – and emphasize the importance of taking care of one’s health and supporting people with HIV-positive status.
“Designers create trends, freeing from stereotypes”
Using the language of style and beauty and drawing the attention of a huge number of people to the topic of HIV, the fashion industry of the region becomes an important partner in responding to the epidemic.
All EECAAC delegates are welcome to visit the Gala Fashion Show which will be held on April 20, 2018 at 19:00 at the World Trade Center (Krasnopresnenskaya Embankment, 12)
